Author Guidelines | IJEB

IJEB

All research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous double blind peer review, based on preliminary editor screening and anonymous refereeing by 2 referees. Based on their recommendations, the editor then decides whether the paper should be accepted as is, revised or rejected.
Note: There are n o submission or acceptance fees f or manuscripts submitted to the Journal.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been previously published and should not be submitted for publication elsewhere while they are under consideration by this Journal. The Journal actively checks for plagiarism.

The entire paper (title page, abstract, main text, figures, tables, references, etc.) must be sent in one document in PDF format. To facilitate the blind review process, author and institutional identifying information must be removed from the text and sent in a separate file.
The maximum length of the paper is 8,000 words (including all tables, appendices and references). Papers should be:

  • Single spaced throughout;
    • A4 size page formatting;
      • 2.5cm margins on all sides;
        • Title: centred, bold and times new roman 14-point font;
          • Abstract: left justified, bold and times new roman 12-point font maximum 150 words;
            • Keywords: from 5 to 10, left justified, regular, italic and times new roman 12-point font;
              • Main body of the paper:
                • Major headings: should be numbered sequentially, left justified and bolded;
                  • Sub-headings: should be numbered according to the main heading, left justified, regular and in italics;
                    • Tables and figures: integrated within the text;
Footnotes: at the bottom of the page should be kept to a minimum and numbered consecutively throughout the text with superscript Arabic numerals;
References: must follow APA (American Psychological Association) style.

Originality and plagiarism policy
By submitting a manuscript to the journal it is understood that this it is an original manuscript, it is an unpublished work and is not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author's own work, in whole or in part without proper citation is not tolerated by the journal. Manuscripts submitted to the journal will be be checked for originality using the “Compilatio.net” anti-plagiarism software before starting the review process.
The manuscripts in which the plagiarism is detected are handled based on the extent of the plagiarism.
<5% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be given an ID and the manuscript is sent to author for content revision.
5- 30% Plagiarism: The manuscript will not be given an ID and the manuscript is sent back to author for content revision.
>30% Plagiarism: The manuscript will be rejected without the review. The authors are advised to revise the manuscript and resubmit the manuscript as a new submission.

It is absolutely essential that author(s) obtain permission to reproduce any published material, figures, schemes, tables or any extract of a text which does not fall into the public domain, or for which they do not hold the copyright.
Permission is required for: author’s own works published by other publishers and for which he did not retain copyright. Substantial extracts from any others work or series of work. Use of tables, Graphs, Charts, Schemes and artworks if they are unaltered or slightly modified. Photographs for which the author does not hold copyright.
Permission is not required for: reconstruction of author’s own table with data already published elsewhere. Please notice that in this case the source of the data you must be cited in the form of either “Data from… “Or “Adapted from….”. Reasonably short quotes are considered fair and therefore do not require permission. Graphs, Charts, Schemes and Artworks that are completely redrawn and significantly changed beyond recognition do not require permission.
